Teapot Workshop
Sundays 26 July & 2 August
10am–1pm
Spend two Sundays designing and making your own teapot from start to finish.
On the first Sunday we'll look at what makes a teapot work well, exploring different forms, handles, spouts and lid designs. You'll then throw the individual components (body, lid, handle, spout) on the wheel. Depending on your experience level and how ambitious you're feeling, you may choose to make multiple teapots or create matching cups as well.
The following Sunday we'll trim, assemble and refine the pieces.
Tea and bikkies will be provided.
All clay and firings are included. Once your work has been bisque fired, you can either return during open studio hours to glaze your pieces or take them home to glaze.
This workshop is best suited to students who have completed a beginner wheel course or are comfortable centring approximately 500g of clay.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Please choose carefully. Once you have booked and paid we will only provide a refund if the workshop is unable to go ahead. If you are unable to attend you may transfer your booking to a friend before the workshop starts. We do not allow transfers between workshops. Alternatively, if there is a waiting list and we can successfully offer your space to another student before the session commences, we will hold your payment for another session, workshop or class for up to 12 months.
